Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to Antigua Guatemala. Antigua is among the world’s best conserved colonial cities in the Americas. It is a magic and captivating small town that makes you feel time might have stopped 300 years ago. From its colonial architecture to its beautiful surroundings; strolling through town on the cobblestone streets, you will experience the splendors of ancient times!

Welcome drinks and dinner at a beautiful XVI Century Church.

Day 2 – Walking and coffee tour

Colonial architecture, fine arts, terracotta, ceramics, wooden sculptures, a great variety of traditional costumes and weavings.  Find out the secrets of Antigua on this walking tour that will show you both architecture and flavor.

In the evening, transfer to Coffee Plantation on a chicken bus. Enjoy the scenery and the unique insight to a real coffee hacienda. This tour will get you up close and personal with the whole coffee making process, experiencing the smells, the sights and the flavor of one of the Guatemala’s most famous exports.

Day 3 – Avocado Tour
Day 3 – Avocado Tour

You will learn the history, cultivation and distribution of hass avocado in the farm. Starting with a walk through the nursery avocado plantation, then the tree formation, continuing with the transfer to a larger warehouse. You will also have an avocado tasting and you will able to learn how to prepare Guatemalan style guacamole. Lunch at a local restaurant in the city. After lunch, you will be able to make a sawdust carpet. Sawdust carpets are traditionally made for Easter week to decorate the streets where large processions wind their way.

Day 4 – Transfer to Copan

Transfer to Copan, in Honduras. The time-tested skills of Mayan ancestors still exist today with specially honed skills for working with wood, leather and stone carving. The city of Copán has narrow streets, along with the brightly colored buildings and a friendly intimacy that creates a warm and inviting tourism center.

Visit Copan Mayan Ruins. Located in the valley of the same name, west of Honduras is perhaps the largest source of information on the ancient Maya civilization.  Visit the Gran Plaza, Acropolis, Ball Court, Hieroglyphic Staircase and the Sculpture Museum.

Day 5 – Tela – Garifuna encounter
Day 5 – Tela – Garifuna encounter

Transfer to the Caribbean city of Tela. A little slice of heaven on the north shore, is more than the sleepy town often described. This is where to go on the Honduras Caribbean coast if you want to relax and be near/on the beach and swim in the sea.

In the evening visit the garifuna village of Triunfo de La Cruz. Experience the Garifuna Culture – will make this day delightful, as you have an encounter with the local to learn about their Punta Dance skills while getting some lesson for you to experience from firs hand!

Day 6 –  Punta Sal National Park
Day 6 – Punta Sal National Park

A 45-minute boat ride takes you to Jeannette Kawas National Park (also known as Punta Sal). Traversing the peninsula on foot through mangrove and tropical forest, you will have an hour to walk around the National Park, with the opportunity to see monkeys, spiders, and butterflies.

Following a time of snorkeling in the turquoise waters of a coral reef, you will kick back and relax in true Caribbean-style on the beach of Cocalito, enjoying a typical Garifuna lunch.

Transfer to the international airport in San Pedro Sula.
