Perquin located in the northern part of El Salvador, was headquarters of the guerrillas named FMLN during the war. You still find remaining like bunkers and bomb craters of the fascinating and traumatic history. You can visit the museum of the Revolution, simple overview by photos, posters and weapons of the civil war. Also the historic war site of El Mozote. The area is very scenic with lots of vegetation and the river Rio Sapo with many waterfalls.
